What time is check in and what time is check out?
Check In time is 4pm with checkout time at 11am
Can we request an early check in or late check out?
Late Checkouts and early check in’s can be requested yet at the discretion of the property at the time of arrival & departure, some may include additional fees.
How much does parking cost?
Overnight lodging guest parking is complimentary at the entrance front drive.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation policy is reflected based on package purchased.
How do I store my baggage prior to checking in or after checking out?
Our goal is to have your room ready prior to check-in yet in the unforeseen that this is not possible, we ask you not to unload your luggage until your room is ready.
Do you provide shuttle service to and from the Airport to the hotel?
Not at this time. The closest airports are Asheville AVL at 1.20hour drive and Atlanta ATL at 2.5hour drive
What is your smoking policy?
Our hotel is a smoke-free establishment. Smoking in a designated non-smoking area is subject to fine.
Are Taxi’s, Uber or Lyft available in Highlands?
Not at this time.
Is there a pool?
We currently do not have a pool.
Is there Wildlife?
Due to our mountain location, please be aware we are surrounded by Wildlife. Due to this, please do not leave food inside your cars or outside your room.
Is there daily housekeeping?
Stay Over service is by request. If you would like your room services, please simply let us know the day prior and we will arrange that for your room.
Are dogs allowed?
YES! We welcome dogs to the Skyline Lodge. Our policy allows one dog up to 50 lbs, or two dogs totaling 60 lbs per guestroom.
Fee information: a nightly charge of $75 will be added to your folio up to a maximum of $300.
No other pets are allowed. Additional fees may apply for damage or excessive cleaning requirements caused by a pet. Pet-free rooms are available upon request.
What kind of special amenities or services does the hotel have for dogs?
Skyline Lodge’s unmatched hospitality and high-touch service does not stop with humans. Upon arrival, dog visitors can enjoy a doggie welcome beverage (a pup cup “espresso shot” with cool whip), their very own in-room doggie beds, two food and water bowls with placemat, and chef-made, in-house dog treats (Peanut Butter and Oats). Skyline’s Director of Rooms Lauren Skidmore has a Husky mix dog named Nya who serves as a welcoming committee, given she is on-site quite a bit! A Butler the Bear (Skyline Lodge mascot) chew toy is also currently in the works.
Are the dogs allowed anywhere besides the actual guest room ?
Located right in the heart of the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, Skyline Lodge provides an ideal experience for accompanying furry friends. The property’s revamped motor lodge layout (featuring an expansive lawn and outdoor pavilion) offers ample space for dogs to explore and play outside. Dogs are allowed anywhere on-property except for indoors at Oak Steakhouse; however, they are allowed on the Oak Steakhouse Terrace.
What is the nearest park or green space that you recommend for walking the dog?
Should guests and their canine companions seek dog walk options beyond what is available on-property, there are a myriad of nearby hiking trails in Highlands that are dog-friendly and easy-to-get-to. Options include Pinky Falls, a short stroll from Skyline’s main entrance, in addition to Whiteside Mountain and Rangers Fall Trail, both a quick drive from the property.
